SitexOrbis wins Construction Marketing Award for second year running

Last night vacant property management specialist SitexOrbis was victorious at the prestigious Construction Marketing Awards 2011 walking away with two trophies – one for the outright winner of the Best Product Launch and the highly commended trophy for The Best Campaign under £25k.
The Construction Marketing Awards, held at the Radisson Blu in London’s Portman Square, are universally recognised as a unique and highly-regarded measure of excellence in construction marketing and business development. Organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Construction Industry Group, there were a record number of entries this year with more than 50 organisations putting themselves forward.
After winning the Best Product Launch category at last year’s Construction Marketing Awards for eMAKS, an intelligent remotely programmeable key, SitexOrbis once again took home the trophy, this time for its videofied alarm solution, a rapidly-deployable and costeffective portable intruder alarm that can capture short video footage, when triggered. The judges described the campaign as “solid, innovative and targeted”.
Praising SitexOrbis’ work, the judges added: “The launch of videofied alarms required innovation and education to achieve success in a difficult marketplace. Astute research and an inventive product aimed at tackling a rising issue gave SitexOrbis what was needed to run a successful campaign including social media, email marketing and online tutorials to promote the product launch. The campaign successfully caused people to acknowledge the need for the product, using a range of techniques to communicate the benefits.”
SitexOrbis was up against some tough competition in the category including Alumet, ESG Polyvision, Lafarge Cemergi, Kingspan and Tata Steel.
The organisation was also highly commended in the category for Best Campaign under £25,000, where was also recognised in last year’s awards.
"We are delighted to have won and been highly commended in these prestigious awards" said SitexOrbis' head of marketing Debansu Das (pictured second from right). "It demonstrates the key role that marketing can play to drive an organisation forward despite the gloom in the housing and construction sector."
Last year, SitexOrbis won eight major awards: two for excellence in customer service; two for marketing in construction; three for eMAKS; and The Property Management Awards named the firm Contractor of the Year. This year it has won two Housing Excellence Awards, was highly commended as Service Provider of the Year in the recent BIFM awards and has also been finalists in the Building Better Healthcare and P&FM awards.
