Mark Cosh challenges FM Ireland conference to look again at property risks
Mark Cosh, European Director of leading European property protection company SitexOrbis, generated a lively response to his challenges put to the FM Ireland conference when he spoke on the changing face of environmental and property protection in Dublin on March 25th. Speaking on the theme ‘Creating Healthy Environments and Operational Efficiency’, he sought to help his audience find ways of mitigating the risks associated with protecting people and property, to demonstrate how new technologies can enhance operational efficiency and to make Facilities Management easier and less stressful.
Under the heading ‘People Protection’, he explained the latest techniques of infection control by vaporisation to kill the organisms responsible for Norovirus, C. difficile, MRSA and swine ‘flu and its potential to limit legal liability under the Corporate Manslaughter Act 2007.
Under the heading ‘Vacant Property Issues’ he explained the risks of not protecting vacant property sufficiently and how SitexOrbis is able to provide full protection.
Under the heading ‘Look out for new Technology’, he explained how the pace of property protection technological development is accelerating and provided examples of new access control and alarm technologies.
