Caerphilly retains SitexOrbis Limited to secure empties
24-Feb-2009Caerphilly County Borough Council has retained SitexOrbis, the empty property management company formerly known as Orbis, to secure empty homes under a new two year contract, estimated to be worth £130,000.
A top priority is that security, as well as being effective, should help to enhance aesthetics on estates, according to the council’s senior housing officer Steve Martin.
The agreement involves supplying void insurance to cover loss through criminal damage, security, monitoring and immediate response.
SitexOrbis director Mark Cosh commented he was delighted that the council had chosen to re-award the company the contract. Customer satisfaction remains our number one priority, he said.
About SitexOrbis: SitexOrbis is the new name for Orbis Property Protection, following a move to unite the group’s Orbis and Sitex operations in Europe under one brand name. The name change will be completed in the UK on 31 March when SitexOrbis UK Limited will become the legal name of the former Orbis Property Protection Limited. In the UK the company protects some 50,000 properties and cleans 20,000 annually. The group generates a combined turnover of in excess of £40 million and employs more than 600 people. www.sitexorbis.com
